Al Azhar 4 Islamic Senior High School
Al Azhar 4 Islamic Senior High School Bekasi was established in the 1995/1996 academic year by the Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai Waqf Foundation in collaboration with the Al-Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation to accommodate graduates of Al Azhar 6 Islamic Junior High School Jakapermai. The school officially began operating under a permit from the West Java Provincial Office of the Department of Education and Culture, with Mr. Santoso serving as the first principal. Initially, teaching and learning activities were conducted in the building of Al Azhar 6 Islamic Junior High School Jakapermai, with 79 students in the first cohort. In the 1996/1997 academic year, the school moved to its new location in Kemang Pratama, East Bekasi, which remains the main campus today. Since its establishment, Al Azhar 4 Islamic Senior High School has demonstrated strong achievements in both academic and non-academic fields. The school implements the National Curriculum combined with the Al-Azhar Curriculum to strengthen Islamic values, as well as the Cambridge Curriculum to broaden students’ global perspectives. Today, the school also applies digital-based learning with facilities such as smart boards and the use of iPads in the learning process. With the tagline “Islamic School, Digital Learning, and International Excellence,” the school is committed to producing graduates who are morally grounded, academically accomplished, and globally competitive. Every year, many graduates of Al Azhar 4 Islamic Senior High School continue their studies at top public universities in Indonesia, reflecting the school’s growing educational quality and increasing public trust.
